With JCC SoftPOS app, merchants are able to accept contactless payments directly on their Android NFC devices. With the mobile application downloaded from Google Play Store to a merchant’s mobile device, customers are able to make their payments by tapping their contactless cards, HCE mobile wallets or wearables on the merchant’s mobile device.

The JCC SoftPOS app is the evolution of contactless payments. It turns your NFC smartphone/device into a POS terminal offering your customers an innovative, convenient and secure digital payment solution.

Supports any transaction amount. For transactions above the contactless payment limit, the cardholder will be prompted to enter his/her PIN. The JCC SoftPOS PINpad app needs to be separately downloaded and installed from the Google Play Store.

Steps to start accepting card payments via the JCC SoftPOS app
● Register as a merchant with JCC Payment Systems (www.jcc.com.cy)
● Download and install the JCC SoftPOS app from the Google Play Store
● Download and install the JCC SoftPOS PINpad app from the Google Play Store
● Log in the JCC SoftPOS app using the credentials provided by JCC Payment Systems

General requirements
Device:
● NFC-enabled mobile device
● Hardware-backed keystore i.e. TEE in a SoC (System on a Chip)
● Installed Google Mobile Service

Android OS:
● Device released with production Android 10
● Android version is still supported and has security patches within the last six months
● Not rooted or flagged as tampered

JCC SoftPOS app:
● Designed to work online (3G/4G/5G or Wi-Fi connection is required)
● Developer options must be always disabled
● App to be installed from Google Play Store
